everything is new!

I've been doing some great new runs from the new location as well as building up my ride. Everything's going well! - hopefully I'll be up to 100km long ride and 30km long run by the new year.

Today I also went for my first bunch ride which was very cool, although probably not fantastic for tri training it's certainly a lot more motivating than riding alone (not to mention a lot more exciting!).

Funniest part was my "twin" was there, yes Tesso, that one, and it was his first bunch ride to!

Creepy no?

Anyway, everything's going splendidly and hopefully I'll start getting mroe consistent with my blogging very soon!

Great to hear mate - and that's certainly a great target to aim for in hte next month or so. 100km rides, and especially 30km long runs are serious stuff, so best of luck and mind your body copes with the running volumes.

btw (and in answer to Clairie's query), riding in packs is still a good workout. While the drafting rules means you have to do the tri on your own, a group ride going at a fast pace will certainly work you. To get the best out of it (and once you've picked up on the local pack's particular calls, behaviours, protocols etc..) make sure you keep getting yourself to the front to do some turns. Then you know you're pushing yourself through the ride :)

Hi Owen,

Guess what your Twin's name is - Davin. Yes Gavin with a D. He is really lovely.

That is some big mileage there - both bike and run. Good luck with it. So what is the next big goal again?

Good news Owen. Miners is onto something - do long turns on the front for a good workout.

30k for a long run is serious. Are you doing Kurrawa?

We see more of your twin than we do of you. Better watch out, soon you will be known as "Bizarro Davin".
